History
In
2002 Al Demers, founder of Demers Sawicki & Assoc., Inc.
(), decided that Oregon and SW Washington needed a company
that was dedicated to improving service to the specialty coffee
industry. The first step was to have good leadership. DSA appointed
Scott Kellerman President and made him a partner of a new company
called Espresso Machine Experts, Inc. ().
EME was formed by purchasing the assets of three companies in the Portland area: Caffeine Machines Service; Caffeine Machine Sales; and Expert Espresso Service. In order to service the industry better, the second step was to quadruple inventory to over $250,000. Next, the company established a professional staff including Dale Melton (Parts and Office Manager), Jeff Anderson (Service Manager), and Trina Demers (Vice President of Administration).
With a team of seven highly trained dedicated technicians
and eight fully stocked vans, the company has eleven
personnel capable of repairing an espresso machine 24/7,
including improved service to the Eugene, Central Willamette
Valley, and coastal areas.
Over the first three years it became very apparent that
the market needed a company that provided a customer with
a machine that , not ours. The selection
of machines now covers a full spectrum of choices that meets
the specialty coffee, food service, and hospitality industries
that we are proud to sell, service, and warranty for years
to come.
Mission Statement: We Make
